To get to Mint Hill Park: Go East on Albemarle Road, past the Wal-Mart at the corner of Harrisburg Road and Albemarle. The next stoplight is Wilgrove-Mint Hill Road. Turn left and continue to the stop light at Highway 51. Go straight across 51, about 25 yards to the stop sign at Fairview (see second map for detail). Turn left and the park is about a mile on the right. Follow the yellow/orange line on the maps below.  Another good way is I-485 to the Rte 218, Mint Hill exit. The park is about 1 half mile West of the exit.The best flying field is on your left as you go in the park, near the small shelter. If the soccer fields are not occupied or not being watered, they are also a pretty good place to fly.  We'll try to send out e-mail notices when someone will be there or check the schedule page to see if we'll be there.
